Elephant Chang Puak Camp Hatyai

Not too far from Hadyai Municipality Park, around 5 minutes or just more than 1 kilometer is the Chang Puak Camp. It's just small park with lots of activities to choose from. Opens daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, entrance is free. Taken from the word "Chang" means elephant which is the main attraction of the park. google map click here 

Elephant Trekking, sound adventure right, but unlike elephant trekking in Thipthara Adventure Camp and Resort, where elephant went uphill with a rocky and rough road. Along with a cold river, and the guide will ask the elephant to throw some water to you. 

OK, going back to the Elephant Trekking at Chang Puak Camp, the elephant will just walk on a cement road and then turn around and come back, no jungle trek.  You will enjoy the elephant ride for 30 minutes, 500 baths per person and they will offer you some souvenirs.

You can also buy 100 baht of bananas to feed the elephant. It's fun, the elephant produces some sound, maybe asking you to please give me more. Then after you feed the elephant, he will say bye bye with his long nose. I was overwhelmed by this (elephant) gesture for saying thank you for feeding me, so sweet.

You can take a photo with the elephant, they call it ACT PHOTO for only 100 baths. It's up to you on how you will act beside the elephant, you can ask the elephant to sit down with the help of the guide. The elephant is very friendly, at first, I was afraid to get near or to touch him (elephant) because  I've seen him for the first time. Just get used to it and enjoy being near with this human-friendly creatures. They were big but they were friendly.
