Hatyai Municipality Park is located just along the highway going to Province of Songkhla from the city of Hat Yai. Around 5 kilometers away from the heart of the city. This park is very huge and a lot of activities to enjoy. The family can have a picnic whether it's daytime or in the evening. It's a place for running, jogging, hiking etc.
You can ride a white Songtaew or green Songtaew from Naho Market for only 10 baht. The entrance is free and it takes 1 day to explore the park. Inside the park are the Buddhist Temples, Buddha's Statue, Observatory, Boys Scout Camp and Ice dome (update: today a 4D Dinosaur dome and has a mini water park for children)
Paddle boating is one of the activities you can choose. It cost 40 baht for 2 people for an hour. They have more than 20 colorful boats so they can accommodate lots of tourists. We also bought some fish food for only 10 baht. Very cheap and everyone can afford this activity.
My husband and I enjoyed paddled boating. If your kid is with you, the boat has a reserved seat for children in the middle and children required to wear a life jacket. Safety standard is applied to avoid a possible accident. Paddle boating is tiring but fun, exciting and safe. I've seen some couples dating, a good place to bring your partner or go boating with your loved ones.
While boating we feed the fishes, a lot of fishes and they are big. Your kids will surely enjoy this activity. It's good to find time with your family and enjoy the moment being with them.

In the evening you can still have a picnic with your family or friends but be sure to bring mosquito repellant. You can enjoy watching the dancing fountain with 3 swapping colors. This park is open until late at night. Seems like this park never sleeps.
