Temple Wat Hat Yai Nai Hatyai

The third largest reclining or sleeping Buddha in the world is found in Hatyai, Hat Yai Songkhla, Thailand. Located near Khlong Ou Taphao Bridge, Phetchakasem RR. Hatyai. Google map click here. The reclining Buddha is placed inside the house of Phra Phuttha Hartha Mongkon, recorded 35 meters long, 15 meters tall and 10 meters wide. You can visit this place daily from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The reclining Buddha Wat Phranon Laem Pho in Koyo Songkhla Thailand is much more interesting than this one. But it is worth to visit while you are in Hatyai. Looking from afar where our car parked. It looks small, from my eyes it looks smaller than reclining Buddha in Koyo. But as I get closer to the temple where the Buddha laid, it became bigger and bigger.  A temple is a little bit old, somehow I'm hoping they can repaint it.

A lot of monks around, asking for a donation or trying to sell something. There's a little shop where you can buy good luck charms and other materials use to worship.

Anyway, the place is good for taking pictures, at least I have the opportunity to visit the third largest reclining Buddha in the world. For Buddhist believers, they visit and worship the place. The entrance is free and the parking space is free too.
