Hatyai now has 3 floating markets, the newly built Hatyai Floating Market, opens last August 2014 which is close now, Khlong Hae Floating Market opens last August 2008 and the newest Ban Pru Floating Market and Adventure Park.
Khlong Hae Floating Market is located near Wat Khlong Hae about 15 to 20 minutes drive from the city proper. You can ride Tuk Tuk for 400 to 600 baht, he will wait until you finish shopping. It is also a famous place to offer a Krathong during Loi Krathong Festival that celebrates every full moon of November. Khlong means river in English. For Buddhist believers, they went and pray to the temple Wat Khlong Hae first and then go strolling around the floating market.
