Namtok Ron Khlong Hot Spring Krabi

Wednesday, February 4, 2015

I always love to soak in hot springs. It's one of the most interesting activities here in Thailand. Namtok Ron Khlong Hot Spring in Krabi Thailand can offer you 40 to 50 degrees Celsius. Not too hot, just enough to make you enjoy the natural hot jacuzzi.

Located at Khlong Thom Nuea, Khlong Thom District, Krabi and just 45 kilometers away from the provincial town of Krabi. Google map click here. I went there with my co-teachers when we are having our field trip. My co-teacher told me that Emerald pool is just a few minutes away.

The road is complete cemented and accessible to any type of vehicles. Admission is 20 baht for Thai people but for foreigners, it's a bit pricey for 160 baht. It's operates daily.  Cottages are available with an electric socket where you can charge your phone and you can also enjoy Thai massage for only 300 baht.

You should try nature trail for more than 1 kilometers on a passageway and you will end up in the Thai massage room. Just a few more step is the hot spring and enjoys taking a bath as long as you want. The water is naturally hot but not too hot. You can stay longer than a typical hot spring. Lots of tourists are visiting every day. The natural pool is just a small portion of the place. The small natural ponds can't cater to all the people who come here. Others are just waiting for someone to get out of the pool.

It is good to come here during cold season and on rainy days. The place is a famous tourist spot so it's quite crowded. The best time to come here is early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the crowd. It is more crowded on weekend and on holidays. They have a big parking space which is not free and the price depends on the vehicles.

The place is very nice, good for taking photos and share it on your Facebook. You will never regret visiting the place. The hot spring was surrounded by these trees that help shade the natural jacuzzi. Although the water is hot these trees will protect you from the heat of the sun.
