Since me and my hubby love to travel, I will also introduce some places we have been visited outside Hatyai and Songkhla but still part of Thailand.
Last July 2015, we visited Krabi and tried the four island hopping. We traveled by bus from Hatyai Bus Station to Krabi Bus Terminal for only 176 baht. We leave Hatyai at 7:30 in the morning and reach Krabi around 12 o'clock. From the bus station, we ride white songtaew going to Aonang about 22 kilometers that cost 60 baht.
We reach Aonang around 1:00 o'clock. We find some food to eat because we were really hungry at that time. Since we're living in Thailand for more than a year, we're familiar with the cost of food and the cost of living here.
Aonang has lots to offer but everything here is expensive or the price is double. Say, for instance, the gasoline is around 28 baht in Aonang its 37 baht, the rice alone is 30 baht usually its 15 baht. After we ate we find a room to stay in. It's really hard to find a cheap room but luckily we found one, we stayed on Lavinia Inn for just 400 baht a night. A night, not a day, it means we have to leave this room early in the morning. The room is pretty decent and clean, with small fridge and fan. Then we bought tickets for 4 islands hopping at Joseon Tour for 600 baht each.
In the afternoon, we rented a motorbike for 250 baht for a day at the same tour agency. We leave our passport and get some gasoline which 37 baht per liter. We went to Tiger Cave Temple using GPRS since we're not familiar with the place. We bought some food for dinner at KFC. After a ride around Aonang and the city of Krabi, we immediately return the motorcycle in the tour agency since we won't be able to use it tomorrow.
At night we enjoyed some drinks and pizza at Aonang Resort. This place is famous and they have good services since they offer international cuisine. They provide a live band at night. The food is not really expensive. We enjoy our pizza treat with drinks. Then the next day is our 4 island hopping.
We wake-up early and prepare ourselves for the 4 island hopping. We already took out our belongings since we just paid the room only for a night. The owner told us that we can leave our bags in their storage room and get it after the island hopping.
After the island hopping, we took or things in Lavina Inn and took a bath in a public toilet for 5 baht. We left immediately. We ride a songteaw to the bus station for 60 baht. The van left Krabi at 5:30 and reached Hatyai past at 9:00 in the evening. This time we traveled by van for 230 baht each. The van is faster than the bus. Reaching Hatyai 1 hour earlier than the bus.
