Thailand is the land where the floating market is famous. Almost every city in Thailand has their own floating market. In Hatyai alone, there are three floating market namely Khlong Hae Floating Market, Hatyai Floating Market and the newest Ban Pru Floating Market. But Hatyai floating market currently closed for some reasons.
Talking about Ban Pru Floating Market located at Ban Pru Hatyai, 14 kilometers from the heart of the city. You can travel it in less than an hour by car or ask the tuk-tuk to send you there for 500 or it depends upon your negotiation. Open only on Saturday evening from 4 pm to 10 pm. Floating market and adventure because aside from shops, they offer a lot of activities for tourist. These activities include fly fox, boating (40 baht for 30 minutes), archery (50 baht), horse riding (50 baht), playing inside the big balloon (40 baht for 10 minutes) and big balloon playground (20 baht each per hour) available for kids only. Go jump on a trampoline for 50 baht in 30 minutes, available for kids only. Enjoy feeding the goat at 20 baht per bottle of milk. Prices are subject to change.
My daughter and my nephew had a lot of fun inside the big balloon. They also feed the white baby goats with a bottle of milk. The milk is just 1/4 of the small baby bottles. But they really enjoy it, I can see it in their eyes.
For dinner, we had our beef soup for 50 baht per bowl and 10 baht for a cup of rice. They are environmentally friendly since all the food stalls are using paper bowls and paper plates instead of using traditional Styrofoam bowls and plates.
So children will really enjoy here and also don't forget to bring extra clothes for your children, playing will make their clothes wet. The area is bigger than Khlong Hae floating market. There are more food choices and you can also enjoy the free concert at the center. The band also perform English songs and some students perform traditional Thai dance. The parking area is wide and will manage.
