This park is located in front of Samila Beach. From Hatyai, you can get here via Van for 34 baht and songtaew for 24 baht but the songtaew driver will ask for additional payment because their last destination is only at Anuban Songkhla School. The newly built artificial waterfalls were added as one of the tourist attraction at Seree Park.
You can go jogging, running and children can go skating in this park. You can also have a picnic with your families and friends here. At the top of the mountain is the 270-degree view of the panoramic view of Songkhla lake and Songkhla Beach.
The best time to go here is early in the morning around 6:00 am to 7 am, while the sun is still not too hot. If you would like to see the sunset, go there around 5:00 in the afternoon for the blissful sunset and night view of Songkhla Lake and Songkhla Beach.
The area at the top of the mountain has a camp area where public and private schools held their annual boy scout camp. It is very safe but you shouldn't stay too long at night because at night there aren't a lot of people who stay here.
You can buy and bring your food to the viewing point because there aren't any food stalls at the top of the mountain. You can find a lot of food stalls and restaurant near Samila Beach and Saree Park. A lot of monkeys live here so be careful with your things. The monkeys might steal it. You can also bring some banana to feed the monkeys. Avoid your things unattended.
You can walk up to the viewing point but it's better to ride a motorbike or a car. It's just a walking distance from Seree Park, so if you have a private vehicle, it's better to ride than walk. The viewing point is just 200 meter from Seree Park. It can also be reached from the Khao Tang Kuan Hills. The park is connected to the road across the Tang Khuan Hill. So if you plan to visit Laem Samila Beach include it in your plan.
