Bo It Bricks Beach Songkhla

Wednesday, May 23, 2018

Bo-it beach is located at Tambon Ko Taeo, Amphoe Mueang Songkhla, Chang Wat Songkhla 90000. About 32.5 kilometers from the center of Hatyai. The place is not so crowded. In the afternoon a lot of locals come here to have a picnic and go swimming also. It is not accessible for public vehicles. You have to own a car to get here. Riding tuk-tuk will cost you a lot of money. Google map click here.

We love to come here, the water is clear and the sand is white. The place is good for swimming and eating fresh fish. Most of the time, the fishermen here sell there freshly caught fish nearby. So it is very tasty and fresh. There's a nearby restaurant that offers Thai foods. There are shops around if you want to buy some snacks or meals.

This is not as famous as Samila Beach. Some locals come here instead of the crowded Samila Beach. This place is facing the Pacific Ocean same as Samila Beach so sometimes the waves are big. The bricks walls help to minimize the big waves. Sometimes if Samila Beach is on the red flag because of the heavy waves this place is not. There are times that the waves are heavy too, mostly in the month of November. A red flag in a sign that swimming is not safe due to the heavy waves.

Although it is still not so famous, I have seen some tourists do sunbathing here. Some children enjoyed the white sand castle they make.

It is good to come here any time of the day but the best time to come here is in the afternoon. There are free benches and tables under the pine trees around, available for locals and foreigners to use. Please observe cleanliness. Don't forget to bring your sunglasses, hats and sunblock lotion.

At first, we call it Bricks Beach because of bricks wall line up at the seashore may be to prevent the strong wave from going to the houses. But later, we found out that the name of the Beach is Bo-it Beach. There's a colorful wooden ladder going to the top of the bricks. So you can also enjoy climbing up to the bricks wall. I think it is a good place for pre-nuptial photo shot also. The view from here is quite fantastic. The rocks seem so small from afar but it's really big. So, I wonder where this big rocks from? 😊
