Sakom Beach in Thepa District near Chana is about 53 kilometers away from the city of Hatyai. google map click here. It is located in Thepa, Thepa District Songkhla. From the city of Hatyai, ride a van, songteaw or a train that will take you to the public market. Then ride a motorcycle to get here.

The beach has white sand, peaceful and calm. There is no homestay near the beach but you can have a night camp here. The cottages are free but you have to order some food at the restaurant. If you don't want to use a cottage, you should bring your mat, portable tables, and chairs. There are no tables and chairs around here. You can also bring your own fishing rod to go fishing. It's a good spot for fishing and sometimes locals sell their own freshly caught fishes here. You can cook or grill the fishes here. Just bring your own portable cooker or a charcoal.

You can visit the nearby small island by boat, they call it Koh Kham. You can rent a kayak for 120 baht for 1 and half hour then go to the Kham Island. It's a small island and you can go around it in just 10 minutes. The island is surrounded by rocks so you should bring footwear. Unfortunately, no white sandbar on this small island. The seashore is full of rocks and mangroves. It's a good spot for fishing too. The water is vividly clear in this island. Avoid coming to the island late afternoon or if the wind blows so hard. It's best to come here early in the morning or if the wind and waves look calm.

They offer banana boat ride too. There is no public toilet but the nearby restaurant has a toilet. You can take a baht there or do your thing but you have to pay 5 baht. They have a mini shop there where you can buy snacks, shampoo, and soap if you haven't brought any.
