The Khuha Sawan Temple is located at Prang Mu, Muang Phatthalung District Phatthalung. Google map click here.  The temple has two caves namely the Khuha Sawan Cave and the Nang Khlot Cave. It is one of the tourist's destinations in Phatthalung Thailand. This place is full of monks, Buddist believers and tourists like us too. It is a quite famous tourist attraction here in Phatthalung. This place if free to enter any time of the day.

The Khuha Sawan Cave is located at the back portion and it's near the foot of the hills. The cave is so huge and you can even go down. The cave is full of Buddha relics and structures. We meet some friends there and they are from Songkhla. We tried to go down into a very dark cave. There is a cement-paved stairway going down so we tried to go down with the use of our phone light.

It's very dark and creepy. as we go down, it's getting deeper and darker. The cave has a fluorescent light going down but it was turned off. We felt the coldness of the ground. I was at the back of the woman from Songkhla and after the first phase of the stairway. She stopped and seems hesitant to go down further. So I ask if she still wants to proceed to go further and she replied "No". So all of us who followed her go back to the top as quickly as we can. We all felt the same fear.

We go back to the top of the cave and just take some photos. I saw some people are praying to Buddha. Tourists and believers keep on coming inside. later on, we decided to go out and we notice that there is a switch on the side of the door. So I guess it is used to turn on the fluorescent light going down to the cave but I don't care that much. We just continued to go out from that cave.

The Nang Khlot Cave is located in the middle of the temple vicinity but I never get a chance to enter it. I didn't go inside the cave.
