If you want to send money anywhere in the world, there is a lot to choose. The most famous is the Western Union Money Transfer. Before I used to send money from Thailand to the Philippines with CIMB and Money Gram. The CIMB and Money Gram exchange rate is almost the same. The CIMB money transfer cost 199 baht while the Money Gram is 150 baht.
You can send money using Speed Sent in any CIMB branches and Government Savings Bank in Thailand. While you can send Money Gram to any Money Gram authorize bank but I always go to Government Savings Bank to send money through Money Gram.
Where can I find RIA agents in Thailand?
I recently found out that the best way to send money to the Philippines is through RIA Money Transfer. Just go to any branches of Government Saving Bank all over Thailand and ask the teller that you will send money through RIA Money Transfer. The Government Saving Bank tellers actually take long to send money whether Money Gram, Speed Sent or RIA, so just wait patiently.
How to fill up the form?
Here is an example of RIA Money Transfer form. You have to write your personal information. For Transaction Information, you must write the receiver country. For this Bank/Agent name, it is the name of the bank or agent where you want the money will be received. As for me, I write Cebuana or Palawan Pawnshop. I think our city has many branches of these two pawnshops. It is really up to you, you can also write LBC, Metro Bank, BDO, etc.

Why send money through RIA?
The exchange rate of Ria Money Transfer is more or less 10 baht higher than the exchange rate of the other Money Transfer Agent. For example, the exchange rate for Money Gram and Speed Sent is 1.58 baht for 1 peso. The RIA Money Transfer will have an exchange rate of 1.69 baht for 1 peso.
