Thailand has the longest weekend every July. Every July, Thailand celebrates the King's birthday and the Buddhist holidays. So we had time traveling for more than four hours just to get to Sichon, Nakhon Si Thammarat from Hat Yai Thailand. We booked online at Booking.com for our hotel accommodation. Room price seems more expensive than regular days. We had trouble finding and booking some hotel that has a pool. Almost all the resorts around here are full. We were just lucky to get a reservation.
Issara Beach Resort is located at 337/5 Sichol Tambon Sichon, Amphoe Sichon, Chang Wat Nakhon Si Thammarat 80120. For Google map click here. The management is very kind to us because we booked ahead of time, we got the room for only 800 baht a day. We went there in a group and reserve 5 rooms so we were able to ask for a discount. I highly recommend you plan your vacation ahead and if you decide to stay there, then book ahead of time to enjoy lower prices.
Issara beach is divided into 3 resorts. As much as possible you must contact the management and ask where is your room reservation. Issara Beach Resort 1 and 2, doesn't have a pool but the white sand beach resort is just 50 meters away. The picturesque beach view is pleasant in my eyes.
We stopped first at Issara Beach Resort 1 but found out that our room reservation in on the Issara Beach Resort 3. We just past the Issara Beach 2 and other resort and found the Issara Beach Resort 3 on the other side. Less than 500 meters from Issara Beach Resort 1 and 2.
Issara Beach Resort 3 is shady. It has a lot of big trees and big pine trees too. They have a parking lot for cars and the resort has a very relaxing environment. They have concrete chairs and tables around. In the middle of the resort is the big cottage that has wooden tables and benches. It is good for recreational activities or having meals.
I felt disappointed when I saw the shoreline because in front of Issara Beach Resort 3 is a rocky beach bar. You can't definitely swim here because the rocks are big and small. I can't even see the sand. The whole shoreline of Issara Beach Resort 3 is full of rocks and has a high waist rock wall. In my own opinion, the Issara Beach Resort 3 lies in the ugly side of Sichon Beach. Good thing there is a pool in this area. We were very happy to see the pool because the kids love the pool. We need to walk around 50 meters on the right side to be able to swim on the white sand beach.
Our room is good for 2 people. The bed is huge and the room is clean. The room where I stay, the floor isn't tiled and they just put a 3x6 ft floor carpet. So I went and checked the other rooms. Out of 5 rooms, we stayed the 3 were tiled but no carpet and the other 2 weren't tile and have a carpet. Two rooms have a problem with the toilet sink including our room. The water comes out under the sink whenever we brush our teeth and wash our hands. It is untidy to me. I hope they can check their rooms.
Our air-conditioned room has an electric kettle and free 2 sticks of instant coffee and two bottles of small bottled water. As for the toilet, it has a tissue and 2 small size soap. I hope they can provide free shampoo and conditioner too in a small size. It has a small fridge and a TV.
The infinity pool has a curfew hours because it is in the middle of the two-story building. It is surrounded by suites rooms. They let the visitors swim starting at 8:00 o'clock in the morning until 8:00 o'clock in the evening.
We wake up early to see the glorious sunrise but we can't see it 😊. You can't view the sunrise and even the sunset here at Issara Beach Resort 3. So, if you would like to stay here, book ahead and ask where is your reserved room located. If you have children with you, choose Issara Beach Resort 3. You can still go swimming on the white sand beach about 50 meters from here.
