Chalatat Beach หาดชลาทัศน์ is located at Chalathat, Bo Yang, Mueang Songkhla District, Songkhla Thailand. It is one of the tourist destination in Songkhla Province and still part of Songkhla shoreline. Across the street is the Songkhla Tinasulanonda Stadium. For Google map click here. It is a good place to hang out with your family and friends.
There are a lot of activities to do at Chalatat Beach. On the left side, you can find the children's playground. The playground is under the pine trees it is very shady and windy. Near the children's playground, there is a vendor selling DIY figurine for as low as 20 baht and sometimes they are selling kites too, especially in summer. The price differs on how big the figurine is. The children will surely enjoy coloring the figurines.

Chalatat beach park is very clean and safe. It has a beach volleyball court where you can play volleyball. Bring your own volleyball. A stage where the local band plays music when there's a celebration. They have a wide parking lot for cars and motorcycles. It has free tables and benches around the park. In the evening there are big lights to light up the whole beach park. There are vendors who sell Thai food at an affordable price.
The park has a big lawn where you can lay your mat to do a picnic. Many locals come here to do a picnic late in the afternoon till evening. Sometimes we come here on weekend to relax and go swimming too. There is no public toilet around but you can change clothes in the shops nearby. You can take a baht or use the shops' toilet for only 5 baht.
