Ton Plew or Ton Plio Waterfalls น้ำตกโตนปลิว is located near the Tone Nga Chang Waterfalls. It can be a tourist destination for those who are looking for a place to go in Hatyai. It is located at Chalung, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Thailand. For Google map click here. Around 30 kilometers and less than 40 minutes travel time from the center of Hatyai. If you don't have a car, you can get here by Tuk-tuk, I think they will charge you 400 baht but it depends upon your negotiations.

Tone Plew Waterfalls is very high but I think the Elephant Tusk or Tone Nga Chang Waterfalls number 3 is higher than this. What I like about Ton Plio is, it has a basin or a small pond at the bottom of the falls where the water flows. It was surrounded by rocky hills and forest. The pond is not so big just enough to cater 30 people I think.

The waterfalls is visible even from the road because it is very high. You have to pay 200 baht for adult foreigners and 100 baht for children. As for Thai, they only pay 20 baht for an adult and 10 baht for the children.

You have to walk for 3 minutes from the parking area to reach the waterfalls. You must come here early in the morning to avoid the crowd. It is so nice to swim in the pond at the bottoms of the falls that looks like a natural jacuzzi with only a few people.

We came here as early as 6:30 in the morning, I have seen only two people were there at that time. Most people started to arrive here at 9:00 in the morning. We had our breakfast there under the shady trees. They have free concrete tables and chairs around. There are only a few shops here so I suggest you to bring your own snacks or food to eat.

If the ponds at the bottom of the falls is full of people, you can just enjoy the swimming in the cold springs. The cold spring is shady from the trees around so it is not cold but the water is cold.
