If you plan to come to Thailand You have to familiarize also the name of some common Thai cuisine. I will introduce to you the Pla Neung Manaw or Steamed Fish with lime in English. A lot of restaurant offers this kind of dish so if you come to a restaurant where there are no English translations on their menu. You must ask them if they have some food that you know. You must name it in the Thai language.

Pla Nueng Manaw is really delicious. Usually, it is very spicy but you can also ask them not to put chili. Tell them "mai aw pit" means you don't like spicy. I always ask them not to put some chili because I don't like spicy food. Just like this picture on the top. This is not spicy and not a single drop of chili. It tastes a little bit sour because of lime but overall I really like this dish.

The fish is Pla Kapong or Barramundi in English. It is a famous fish in Thailand. I like Pla Kapong because the taste is like  Tilapia but it is yummier than Tilapia. It has a lot of fats and the appearance is like Tilapia.  I think Pla Kapong is from the family of Tilapia.

I will probably learn how to cook this because I like it. I will update my blog and show you how to cook this dish in the future. I don't know the ingredients but it has parsley, scallion, lime, and garlic. They serve it on any occasions also like birthdays and gatherings.
