Small Yet Fancy Bear Island Cafe Halal

I came to this cafe twice already with my co Thai Teachers in my school. My English Head invites me to have lunch in this cafe. She said it's a newly opened cafe and it's near the school. It is far from the heart of the city. Bear Island Cafe is located at Kanchana Ramet Rd, Amphoe Hat Yai, Chang Wat Songkhla Thailand. It is 9 kilometer far from the city center. Since I like the place, I promise myself to bring my husband here. I finally, I came back here after two months with my husband. The design change a little bit. The bear stuff toys are lesser than before. This cafe is small but the atmosphere is quite fancy. It is close door air- conditioned with a low volume music playing. You can also dine outside the cafe but it is near the street, so a lot of vehicles passed by. I think it can accommodate 50 people. The wifi is fast and free. Although the place is small it is not crowded. Since it is new and quite far from the city center, not many people come to this place. 

Pad Pak Ruam or Stir Fried Mix Vegetables

I like this cafe but the problem is the menu. It is written in Thai which I cannot read. The staff also cannot speak English. So what I did, I search online for famous Thai cuisine like Pad Pak Ruam which is stir-fried mix vegetables in English. Then we wanted a fish so I just pointed something in the menu that has a picture on it. I know it, It's Tom Yum Pla. It is Thai spicy soup with fish.

It was the owner who wrote our orders. She is kind and she is also the one who cooks food. Though she can't speak English. Thanks to the internet, I manage to order something I like. I told her to have an English menu next time and she said she will. She also talks to her customers and thanks them for coming. Our orders came too fast, we don't need to wait long. 

Bear Island Cafe is a Halal restaurant. The owner who is a chef is a Muslim. The cafe is so clean and well arranged. The food is delicious at a reasonable price. This restaurant also offers international cuisine. They have burgers, pastries, and pizza too. You can also order your favorite dessert like ice cream and they offer Thai desserts too.
