I have always been dreaming of visiting Singapore where I can go around and take a look at its famous places. Though it's not my first time in Singapore because I've been to Singapore many times but only at Changi Airport. Whenever I go home and go back here in Thailand, I stop over at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia or Changi Airport in Singapore which connects me to the International Airport in the Philippines.
This summer, I finally got an opportunity to travel to Singapore with my family and friends. I've done a lot of research to get some information before coming to Singapore. So, this is our first stop, The Garden By The Bay. Since we arrived at Changi Airport around 10 pm in the evening. I've decided to choose this as our first destination because it's closer to the airport.
After resting for a while, at 4 in the morning, we were about to leave and getting ready to ride a taxi going to the Garden By The Bay. It's located at 18 Marina Gardens Dr, Singapore 018953, for a google map click here. Opens from 9 am to 9 in the evening. In google map, it says you can ride a taxi using Grab a Cab App only for 7-8 Singaporean Dollars (SGD) but I didn't use this App, I didn't buy a Singapore Tourist Sim for 12 SGD because we're planning to go to Malaysia tonight. We will just stay in Singapore for a day. We rode a taxi from the gate of terminal 4 for 27 SGD but my other friends pay 32 SGD. I don't know why the fare is different. I traveled with 20 people, so, all in all, we got 4 taxis and some driver just ask higher fare.
Traveling 15 minutes from Changi Airport, we arrived at Garden By The Bay around 5:30 in the morning. The place is still dark and the old lady who works there is very kind and accommodating. She really help us a lot and told us that no tourist come as early as 5:30 in the morning 😆 she still let us come inside the park. She saw that we have a lot of luggage and offered us if we want to rent a locker but we refused since we will leave Garden By the Bay around 9 am to go to our next destination.
Coming here as early as past 5 in the morning. We were able to witness the beauty of the garden at night, though the atmosphere is different because only a few lights are open, it wasn't as beautiful as when you visit it in the evening. We took some photos and wait for the sunrise at past 7 in the morning. Our benefits of coming here early is that we were the only people in the garden. As if we own this beautiful garden. 😆 The Cloud Forest, Flower Dome, and the OCBC Skyway will be open at 9 am. I will surely visit these places next time but as for now, we will only spend a day here in Singapore and our time is limited. The garden is so big, you need at least a day to see every corner of Garden By the Bay.
The Garden By the Bay is so clean and the whole place is gleaming. The toilet is sparkling clean and there's a drinking water fountain outside the toilet. Even the toilets are air-conditioned. I was really amazed by the beauty of this place. It should be on the top list of your travel goals.
A view from Dragonfly Bridge which connects us to the outside world. The Marina Bay Sands where you can shop, take a taxi and ride MRT from here. From here we had our breakfast which we just bought at 7 Eleven inside the mall and take a rest before going to our next destination.
The bayfront offers also picturesque scenery. The tall buildings serve as a backdrop of the bay. Just so stunning in my eyes. From here, we saw a lot of people enjoying their snacks and some locals are running around. So if you don't want to eat in an expensive restaurant inside the Marina Bay Sand. You can just buy snacks from 7 Eleven and walk straight to reach the bayfront.
I wish for the great of success in all of our destiny endeavors
