When you're planning to visit Chiang Mai, you shouldn't miss the famous Doi Inthanon National Park. There's a lot of awesome places inside The Doi Inthanon National Park. Situated in the mountain range of Doi Inthanon, more than 90 kilometers from the heart of the city of Chiang Mai. We traveled for more than 2 hrs to get here and all in all, we spend our day here alone. Located at Ban Luang, Chom Thong District, Chiang Mai. For inquiries, you can call this number # 053 286 729.
Upon entering the gate of the national park, foreigners have to pay 300 baht each and 20 baht for local. The car costs 50 baht and 20 baht for the motorcycle. The national park is very wide and the road is slope going up to the mountain. From the huge gate of Doi Inthanon Park, the first tourist destination is still far.
Make sure your car or motorcycle has a full tank. There's a flea market along the road that sells locally grown fruits and vegetables. I bought a lot of avocadoes for 50 baht per kilo. The avocadoes in southern Thailand is expensive. One piece of small avocado cost 69 at Big C Extra. The fruits and vegetables here are cheap. The automated vending gasoline machine is also available.

The gate of Doi Inthanon National Park |
Our first destination was the Royal Agricultural Station and the Siribhhumi Waterfall inside the farm. Then from here, the Doi Inthanon Park is still very far. Our third destination is the highest peak of the Doi Inthanon Summit and it is accessible by any vehicle. You can find it around 100 meters not very far from Doi Inthanon Park which is our fourth destination. It is the highest mountain of Chiang Mai around more than 2000 feet above sea level.

Doi Inthanon Summit |
A lot of tourists come here to take photos but be very careful when taking pictures here. A lot of cars passing by cause this is along the road going somewhere. There is a parking lot here and a trail going to the Doi Inthanon Park but I haven't tried it. I just saw a sign of a trail that leads to the park that has a twin Pagoda. There is a safe parking lot and a public toilet here and free of charge since it is along the wide road.

Sirithan Waterfall |
Going home from Doi Inthanon Park around 2 o'clock in the afternoon we visited the much nearer tourist spot. Our Fifth destination on the list is the Sirithan Waterfall. You can find it along the road and I recommend that you visit it later after you visit the Doi Inthanon Park and The Royal Agricultural Station because it is quite nearer to the gate. The Sirithan waterfalls have a 100 meters concrete stairs going down. When we went there, we are the only people there. You can't get closer to the waterfalls. It has a terrace where you can take pictures. There is a parking lot but I can't find any vendors or public toilets here. The entrance is free of charge.

Wichirathan Waterfall |
Our last destination is Wachirathan Waterfall, around 500 meters from the main road. This is quite famous place than Sirithan Waterfall because a lot of tourists come here. The place huge and has a huge parking lot also. There is a cafe and a lot of shops around. A public toilet is free to use. There's a lot of dogs here so be careful but I think they are not harmful to humans. We bought our souvenir picture in a frame here for only 100 baht. The waterfall is amazing and it has a trail going down but swimming is highly prohibited. The entrance is free of charge so enjoy the place.
